The 2018 International Piano Festival will be held at the Vietnam National Academy of Music in Hanoi from August 11 – 18. The festival is for professional pianists of all nationalities and ages from Vietnam and around the world.

series of events will be held during 2013 as part of the Italy – Viet
Nam Programme, to celebrate 40 years of friendship and co-operation
between the two countries. The celebrations started with an international
conference and a ceremony at the University of Ha Noi marking the tenth
anniversary of the Department of Italian Studies held yesterday and
today.

At the Geidai
Arts Summit 2012 in Tokyo, Japan The "Geidai Arts Summit 2012 - From
Asia to the World - the Development and Cooperation" was successfully
held in Tokyo from 9 to 12 October 2012 to celebrate the 125th
anniversary of the establishment of Tokyo University of the Arts. The 23
art institutes from 8 countries and area: Korea, Taiwan, Mongolia,
Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan participated
this symposium to consider how to cooperate among art universities from
Asia to the world and create new Asian art.

Based
on the practical requirement of Vietnam National Academy of Music to
build up the subject of instrumental music education, from 2007 up to
now a special program has been designed for instrumental teachers of
VNAM. During three years, a group of six key teachers majored on
piano, winds, strings, voice and accordion have been coached by
Norwegian experts leaded by Prof. Grete helle Rasmussen – Dean of music
education of BarratDue institute of Music.

the framework of Transpositions, the cultural exchange project between
Vietnam and Norway, a group of artists leaded by Professor Stephan
Barrat Due, principal of the Institute was in Hanoi to conduct the
master class at strings department of the Vietnam National Academy of
Music from 12 to 16 November 2013.

The Ha Noi Philharmonic Orchestra took part in Asian
Orchestra Week being held in Tokyo Japan on Wednesday. The biannual
event has attracted the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mokpo
Orchestra from the South Korea and Japan’s Kyushu Orchestra. Under
conductor Christian Schumann, the orchestra will play Rhapsody Vietnam
by Do Hong Quan, along with Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No1, and
Symphony No 9. While in Japan, the Hanoi Orchestra will also stage a
joint performance with Japanese musicians in Fukushima on Friday the 3rd.
